Sambali Beach Farm is an eco-resort in Botolan, Zambales with its very own organic farm. A four to six hour drive from Metro Manila, the spacious beach house is set on an 8-hectare lot and accommodates a maximum of 25 guests. My friend stumbled upon the place through Airbnb, and let me tell you, the place is an absolute gem.
Sambali Beach Farm is child-friendly, pet-friendly (huge plus for a dog lover like me!) and has a household staff that will cook delicious native delicacies for you. I highly suggest you to take their agro-tour, where you can see their impressive farm and how they raise their healthy livestock. Despite being a pescatarian, I was still able to appreciate the latter part of the tour seeing how well they take care of their farm animals. They also have a wide selection of meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert, and it's all up to you to decide what you'll be having for each.
If you're looking for a beach getaway for your big group of friends, your family, or even your work team, Sambali Beach Farm is the place to go to.
INTERIORS
As my friends and I were swimming by the beach in the afternoon, the staff called us over to ask for our help in setting their turtle hatchlings free. Every now and then, they purchase turtle eggs from the market, incubate them themselves and release them to the ocean. The good people of Sambali Beach Farm do this to bring the turtles back to their natural habitat and to avoid them from being eaten.
I don't think they have a set date on when they release the hatchlings, so we were truly lucky to have witnessed it during our stay. Needless to say, it was one of the most magical experiences of my life.
